The Actuarial Consultant is the subject matter expert and trusted advisor for understanding and interpreting the key drivers of health care and provider trends.


You will be responsible for a variety of projects including product training and new product development. As an Actuarial Consultant, you will be working with our Client Services team and build our training.



Responsibilities:



  • Analyzing and interpreting various forms of utilization and health care data to identify potential areas for medical improvements via products, services and other market trends

  • Creating a clear, compelling assessment of root causes and actionable/non-actionable contributing factors

  • Participating in client meetings as subject matter expert to present findings and recommendations to our clients

  • Serving as a trusted advisor to internal and external customers on health care cost and quality topics

Requirements

Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5 or more years of work experience in health care data analysis

  • ASA or FSA designation is a plus

  • At least an intermediate level of proficiency working with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, calculations, pivot tables, charts, graphs, etc. Must have experience extracting and manipulating data and performing report compilation in Excel

  • At least a basic level of proficiency with MS Word and Access

  • At least a basic level of proficiency with SAS and/or SQL is a plus

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
