Overview:
The Restaurant Host/Hostess provides outstanding customer service by monitoring customer traffic flow, acknowledging and seating customers upon arrival, providing product information and thanking customers at their departure.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Follow Food Division Best Practices
  • Demonstrate current and working knowledge of Food Service area
  • Ensure dining room is properly set for customer service
  • Effectively deals with multiple customers and seats customers at clean tables avoiding over-seating
  • Communicate customer requests or concerns and service flow issues with servers and manager on duty
  • Knowledgeable of servers' duties and responsibilities, table numbers and station assignments
  • Answer phone and record reservations according to food division standards
  • Follow Food Safety standards and maintains work area and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards
  • Follow station specific duties and responsibilities
  • Open and/or close area following appropriate checklist, verifies completion with Manager on Duty prior to leaving the area
  • Maintain PAR stock levels and standards in product presentations
  • Maintain hygiene and professional dress code to comply with Food Division and Health Department standards
  • Work with the bus team to assist in clearing and resetting tables during peak periods
  • Work scheduled shifts as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
