About this job

The Supervisor of Logistics will be responsible for coordinating the arrival and subsequent distribution of company products. They will also be responsible for ensuring that the right product is delivered in the right place, at the right time, at the lowest possible cost. Must also possess technological skills in order to maximize and/ or redesign the company tools and skills in planning and developing new lines of business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

~Monitoring compliance of route and distribution schedules
~Analyze and recommend initiatives that allow for route efficiency
~Maintaining a current analysis of route costs
~Recommend saving initiatives in logistics
~Guarantee the integrity of information in the information systems
~Analyze and resolve variations in demand, achieved through the reallocation of resources at the least possible impact to the company or customer
~Negotiating times, deadlines, and costs with customers and vendors
~Responsible for the recruitment, training and development of company drivers
~Planning and development of company routes
~Plan and develop new lines of business opportunities in the logistics field.
~Creating policies and proceduresto develop the logistics activities
~Responsible for ensuring that the vehicle fleet is in good condition

Functions

~Revise the proper operation of the fleet of the company, as well as coordinate their proper maintenance and repairs.
~Develop and analyze daily reports to manage logistics operations, making necessary recommendations.
~Validate the expenditures of their cost center by using the authorized company budget
~Solving unforeseen circumstances in internal and external customer service
~Keeping up with maintenance, inspections, registration of trucks and ~keeping in compliance with DOT regulations (IFTA, UCR).

Requirements

~Bachelor's degree.
~Nashville resident.
~3-5 years experience in similar position
~Bilingual (English & Spanish, it's a most)
~Experience in personnel management (3 year minimum)
~Experience with Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced)
~Experience in fleet management.
