Candidates within this position will be monitoring MD Scheduling mailbox and CAST SharePoint and assures that requests/cases are being handled in a timely manner.  Candidates will be auditing and monitoring  turnaround times to ensure regulatory and compliance standards as well as account-specific guarantees are met in regards to scheduling peer review appointments.  Candidates will be on a queue line as well and assisting with provider needs that are called in.  Candidates might be taking anywhere from 30-50 calls per day but might be more once the pilot program is initiated.

Candidates will be acting as a liaison with Appeals and Care  Advocates to resolve MD Scheduling questions and will assist the supervisor with daily business operations including: meetings, work load balancing, and team  communications. Some data entry will be required as candidates will be reviewing data  and creating reports to assess productivity.  Candidates will be identifying opportunities for improvement and discussing with the supervisor.  Candidates will also be assisting and training with coaching the current team of schedulers on the team.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Understands and implements detailed workflows that apply to the tasks being completed by both scheduling teams: MD and CAST.
  • Monitors MD Scheduling mailbox and CAST SharePoint and assures that requests/cases are being handled in a timely manner.
  • Audits and monitors turnaround times to ensure regulatory and compliance standards as well as account-specific guarantees are met.
  • Provides back-up assistance for MD Schedulers.
  • Acts as liaison with Appeals and Care Advocates to resolve MD Scheduling questions.
  • Assists supervisor with daily business operations including: meetings, work load balancing, and team communications.
  • Reviews data and creates reports to assess productivity. Identifies opportunities for improvement and discusses with supervisor.
  • Responsible for coaching, training and mentoring MD Schedulers and Member Appointment Schedulers [CAST].

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 1+ years MD Scheduling and regulatory and compliance experience required.
  • The ability to work to email and manage a calendar in MS Outlook.
  • The ability to create correspondence and work in templates within MS Word.
  • The ability to perform data entry functions, reporting, and sorting/filtering in MS Excel.
  • The ability to work in SharePoint and upload/open documents.
  • Knowledge and understanding of behavioral health terms.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology preferred.
  • 2+ years MD Scheduling and regulatory and compliance experience preferred.
