This position is part of a team responsible for
management and execution of our Provider Incentive programs known as Additional
Compensation Programs (ACP), including System setup and maintenance, Incentive reporting,
calculation & distribution, and Incentive research and reconciliation. As part of this team, the Financial
Consultant will be involved in the processes around the reporting, calculation, and distribution of Incentive payments. This
includes direct involvement and analysis in areas such as Provider
Income statements, month-end Close process, and Payment documentation,
including
preparation and submission of Payment requests.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare
Provider Income statements.- Reconcile,
analyze, and review Network Income statements in preparation for month-end close. - Research
stakeholder questions and provide solutions. Document
process changes and procedural documents. - Coordinate
with other Internal and External teams involved with the process. - Must
be comfortable working with complex Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, calculations, and Pivot
tables. - Assist
in developing and maintaining clear communication channels with key
stakeholders, both internally and externally. - Skilled
at problem solving, follow-through, and resolution. - Ensure sufficient
documentation is available (and provided) to support audits including
current/historical documentation of Operational
procedures and Incentive records. - Perform analyses of issues, participate
in development of potential solutions, and make recommendations to ensure
accurate and timely resolution. - Recommend and drive Process
improvements. - Generally, work is self-directed and not
prescribed. - Serve as a resource to others.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related field, OR a High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of Finance experience.
- Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Word (create correspondence and templates) and Excel (v-lookups, advanced formulas and pivot tables).
- Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Access (run queries) and PowerPoint (build presentations and decks).
- Microsoft Visio proficiency.
- Participation in the development/maintenance of computer systems.
- Previous experience with incentive or commission processes and systems is preferred.
- Previous experience with Medicare and/or the healthcare insurance industry preferred.
