Responsibilities

 

Overview

The WPS Support Specialist is responsible for day to day monitoring, updating and reporting on WPS as well as providing back up for GETS. The WPS Support Specialist should have knowledge in Micro Soft Excel, Word, Outlook and Access. The WPS Support Specialist should also have customer service experience and the ability to create functioning relationships with internal resources and external customers.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Will provide new service and cancellation provisioning upon demand.
  • Perform day to day performance monitoring and analysis for trouble detection, security and fraud. Reporting and resolving any problems found and/or reported.
  • Collect, monitor and report WPS Billing data.
  • Creation and delivery of specific deliverables related to the program.
  • Provide recommendations for performance improvements and administer the performance management system to track PS performance for WPS.
  • Utilize tools to monitor and track PS network performance.
  • Serve as a liaison between the customer and internal resources on all network performance issues.

Qualifications

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in the Micro Soft Excel, Outlook, Word, Access.
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills.
  • Will be detailed and time oriented.
  • Possess the ability to quickly learn and use new tools.
  • Possess working knowledge of telecommunications technologies with a priority on wireless.
  • Possess customer service experience.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor of Science degree (or higher) in Computer Science or Network Engineering with five or more years of directly related experience in a telecommunications service provider network. At least five years of relevant experience and/or relevant vendor certification may substitute for the formal qualification. In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification

The successful applicant must undergo a background investigation and receive a favorably adjudicated National Agency Check, Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC).
