Supervisor/Manager-Commercial

In need of 1-6 Maintenance Supervisors with electrical background. Supervisor will be responsible for supervising 10-20 union electricians in the production and preventative maintenance of all machinery vital to the production and processing of steel. Electrical experience within a heavy industrial environment is required, supervisory experience is highly preferred. Experience in a union environment is preferred in order to lessen the learning curve of the local contract. The supervisor must be very technically sound in mechanical, electrical, or both. The individuals they are supervising are very knowledgeable and the supervisor must be responsible for holding them accountable, assisting, troubleshooting, and guiding the work. The supervisor's primary functions will be to ensure safety standards are followed, preventative maintenance schedules are followed, and any disciplinary actions are carried out for the employees they are supervising. Supervisor must be able to work well within a team and be able to work with people from various backgrounds. Supervisor will report to the area manager or production manager. Must be able to schedule work and track OT according to union contract. Supervisor will be working hand in hand with maintenance and engineering to ensure the manufacturing process does not shut down and production levels are achieved daily for each shift. Steel experience is preferred; any other manufacturing experience must have followed rigid manufacturing production plans.
