Aerotek is partnering with a growing manufacturing company in Schuylkill County. We are looking to interview welders immediately. The position will be all 1st shift. There is an ability to get on a fast-track for a hire pay as skills and qualifications are assessed.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The candidate is responsible for welding and assembling components in a manufacturing environment. This position requires general welding skills and the ability to work both independently and as a team member.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Must be able to weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
- Responsible for performing routine maintenance on equipment when needed
- Must be able to operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, and flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and shielded metal arc, resistance welding, and submerged arc welding.
- Examine and measure work pieces for defects with straight edges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
- Must be able to recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment
-Must be able to pass a Weld Test.
