About this job
Our client is a leader in highway construction projects and a supplier of materials, specializing in full-service concrete and asphalt-paving projects. They have an opportunity for an experienced Survey technician performing staking and plotting on new highway construction.
All of the work in completed outside, so the they must be able to work in extreme weather conditions. This is a very deadline-intensive environment. They have to complete each section in a certain time frame. The location will primarily be in the Saint Louis area with short periods of travel to Illinois or Indiana. Monday through Friday 10-12 hour days during busy weeks. Must be flexible to work Saturdays. Start time 6am-6.30am typically. Will meet up with Surveyor at the offices and get a ride over the construction site.
Jeans, shirt with sleeves, boots (steel toes preferred).
Experience assisting surveyors in the field
Experience working as an Instrumentation person or Rodman.
Leica survey equipment would also be a plus
