Summary

The Retail Merchandising Rep (RMR) services and sells to retail accounts within their assigned territory. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, ambitious and driven to succeed and has strong communication skills with the confidence to influence key decision-makers at the store level.

Job Responsibilities:

Meet/exceed Point Of Sale-to-plan goals for assigned stores and markets.

Develop and analyze business sales strategies each quarter that identify opportunities to grow sales within their territory.

Develop and leverage relationships with key influencers and decision-makers in assigned stores and markets.

Effectively gain front-end and main aisle presence for client brands.

Complete paperwork, reports, recaps, itineraries, timesheets, expense reports, etc. in an accurate and timely fashion.

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Previous retail sales experience preferred.

Superior verbal and written communication skills.

Competence with Microsoft Office Software (PowerPoint & Excel).

Should possess basic computer, retail store math and wireless PDA skills.

Travel to client sites as necessary.

The Retail Merchandising Rep (RMR) is responsible for servicing and selling to retail accounts within an assigned territory. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, ambitious, and driven to succeed. This person should also have strong communication skills with the confidence to influence key decision makers at store level. They must possess excellent organizational skills and have the ability to work independently.

Job Responsibilities

Achieving Results Meeting or exceeding POS to plan goals for assigned stores and markets Growing POS for client brands by selling incremental display locations, selling the execution of plan-o-gramed locations, executing initiatives as well as maintaining in stock conditions. Analyzes and develops business sales strategies each quarter that identifies opportunities to grow sales within their territory. This business sales strategy would include a review of the previous quarter, analysis of upcoming POS to plan goals, opportunities to close gaps, an action plan with specific territory goals and time table.

Consultative Selling Developing and leveraging relationships with key influence and decision makers in stores and markets Delivering consistent market level contact as per client standards Effectively gaining front end and main aisle presence of client brands. This is accomplished in conjunction and alignment with store or market personnel so that the primary merchandising and stocking duties are done by store personnel. This collaborative relationship is developed on a mutual interest and business relationship.

Organizing and Planning Follows team sales call standards and effectively orchestrates a call coverage plan that meets the business needs of client and the retail customer. Administration/Reporting: complete accurate and timely paperwork, reports, recaps, itineraries, timesheets, expense reports, etc.

Job Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred Previous retail sales experience preferred Demonstrates skills and behaviors pertaining to RSM competencies: Achieving Results, Consultative Selling, Initiative, Organization & Planning A dynamic, upbeat salesperson that eludes high energy and execution excellence. Superior verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to translate ideas and concepts into retailer benefits Home computer with Windows operating system, internet access and printer Competence with Microsoft Office Software (PowerPoint & Excel) Strong self management skills Should possess basic computer, retail store math and wireless PDA skills.

Other Requirements

Strong understanding and utilization of proper safety techniques and correct use of equipment when appropriate. Ability to be flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary. Physical Demands

May stand for up to 8 hours Climb stool or step ladder to reach up to 10 feet in order to obtain/lift/move product or appliances weighing up to 20 lbs. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. without assistance May push and pull a wheeled cart weighing up to 300 pounds fully laden with appliances, supplies and product Occasionally bend and/or stoop, crawl and/or climb, and kneel Continuously walk, use feet and/or legs for repetitive motion, and use hands and/or arms for repetitive motion.
