Shipping and Receiving

Do you have experience working in a warehouse performing logistics duties such as inventory, shipping and receiving, material handling, or picking and packing? Call Manpower! We are currently seeking associates with a strong attention to detail to work with premier companies in Washtenaw and Monroe Counties. A variety of shifts are available and many positions are full-time, long-term, and offer competitive pay. Individuals working in a logistics role perform a variety of duties including, but not limited to: * Receiving and unloading freight - manually and/or with equipment from truck. * Verifying quantity and quality of orders, checking for damaged products, and cross-checking with purchase orders. * Counting, weighing, and/or sorting parts and materials. * Moving or transporting materials and supplies between departments. * Determining appropriate storage location, storing materials according to style, size, or type. * Maintaining inventory control and accurate records by taking inventory of stock, rotating stock, and/or replenishing stock. * Packaging and preparing materials for shipment including affixing shipping labels and postage. * Examining and loading freight onto truck for shipping, ensuring shipment meets specifications. * Scheduling deliveries and arranging for pickups. Preferred Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED. * Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. * Previous logistics experience - receiving, handling, storing, and shipping materials/supplies. * Experience operating warehouse equipment such as hi-lo, forklift, pallet jack, or lift truck. * Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. * Experience using shipping software or programs such as FedEx or UPS. * Basic computer knowledge, entering data and maintaining records and spreadsheets.
