Manpower is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Associate, 2nd shift 3:00 PM To 11:00 PM Mon- Friday paying $15.00 an hour with the strong ability to be hired on by our client. Job Description: Under the direction of the Associate Supervisor, the Manufacturing Operator A sets up and operates manufacturing equipment associated with material fabrication. Primary Skills: Able to perform all essential duties as outlined on Manufacturing Operator B job description. Operate various equipment including, but not limited to mills, melting furnaces, wire equipment, 2 Hi and 4 Hi cold/hot rolling machines. Roll to tolerances as close as +/- .0001, measuring thickness with a micrometer. Monitor and check product to maintain inventory levels and adherence to customer requirements for quality. Collect data and maintain various charts and all paperwork as required. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area. PROTECTIVE CLOTHING REQUIRED: Requires the use of safety glasses, safety shoes, and protective clothing such as a uniform or lab coat. Other, more specialized protective gear may be required occasionally. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one year equivalent manufacturing experience. Six months on the job training. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as shop orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write standard documentation. Ability to communicate with other employees to share information and solve problems. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and conversion of measurement units. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
