Food Service Porter - Full-time / Part-time

Performs a variety of routine duties involving delivery, cleaning, and assisting in storeroom and dishroom in a medical facility. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: *High School Diploma or GED *6 months in food services preferred. *Ability to follow oral and written instruction and established procedures. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: *Heavy physical effort (lift/cart up to 50 lbs) *Frequent prolonged standing/walking *Pushes/pulls heavy equipment/supplies POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES: *Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, performance improvement program, safety, environment of care, management of information and infection control standards. *Utilizes excellent customer service skills at all times. *Complies with federal and state law and accrediting and licensing agencies at all times. *Delivers food to all patients of all ages and retrieves trays, nourishments, and carts in accordance with established schedule and procedures. *Cleans the kitchen area, carts, grills, coolers, refrigerators, freezers, ovens, trayline, and conveyor as assigned. *Collects, processes, and disposes of trash, cans, bottles, boxes, and similar debris and transports to disposal area. Cleans garbage cans and box cart. *Prepares late trays according to menu, diet requirements and procedures as necessary *Provides back-up or assistance for other staff as needed. *Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
