Automotive Assistant Service Manager

McFadden Friendly Motors Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is looking for the right person to assist in directing the efforts of our service department. Our Assistant Service Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships by effectively working with customers to by promptly addressing their primary automotive needs and offering the additional maintenance and repairs that will ensure their vehicle is in it's optimal condition in an inviting and friendly environment. The assistant service manager will work with both the parts department and service technicians to present maintenance and repair needs that fit the customers budget, dispatch work to the technicians, manage the repair process and have the necessary repairs and or maintenance completed in the most efficient manner possible. More specifically the Assistant Service Manager will: -Ensure that customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service both in person, on the phone and electronically. -Address customers primary reason for their visit and recommend any additional maintenance or Repair work the customers vehicle is in need of. -Assign and dispatch work to technicians. -Work with the parts department to source needed maintenance and repair parts in a timely manner. -Open and close repair orders and make them ready for customer and dealership cashier. -Proactively communicate with customers about progress of repairs and completion times of jobs. -Schedule customers service appointments. -Field service calls Position Requirements: As a Assistant Service Manager, you will be experienced and aware of the latest customer service practices and be a persistent problem solver.
