JOB SUMMARY

The International Finance and Accounting (IFA) Reporting Supervisor produces monthly managerial reports of international operation results. He/She prepares quarterly compensation adjustments for countries based on their year-to-date profit and loss. He/She is responsible for preparing intercompany eliminations, topside entries, developing key reports utilizing data from several financial applications (e.g., Khalix, Global Profitability Reporting, Oracle Business Intelligence, Financial Data Mart, etc.), designing monthly senior management PowerPoint presentations, providing business unit support, preparing variance explanations and reconciliations. He/She must have strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills as interactions with corporate staff, region and country support teams, auditing and corporate compliance and international accounting groups are required.

This position creates and formats automated reports in order to release monthly report data to the field via the Web Reporting Application. He/She will extract volume, revenue trends, and expense data from the financial planning and reporting system (i.e., Khalix) to verify totals. He/She will compare customer data to official general ledger trial balances to ensure revenues and expenses match. He/She will create monthly reports using IMRS to submit for management review and general ledger journal entries. He/She is a subject matter expert on all reporting related matters.

OTHER DUTIES

  • Audits reports to identify problem areas and recommend solutions and reach consensus on data with the Tax group and the Controller
  • Researches requests to understand details and identify resolutions
  • Demonstrate high level of proficiency within Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Applies logic based cognitive abilities to facilitate using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Understanding financial statements, general ledger accounting combined with accounting principles
  • Learn and understand an array of financial applications to include application architecture (e.g., hierarchies, table, overall structure)
  • Generate and develop custom analytical reports and slides based on customer specifications and requirements or to support auditor inquiries
  • Conduct research to determine variances, develop solutions and interact with international counterparts for clarification and resolution

  • Demonstrates a broad business and accounting knowledge; describes generally accepted accounting practice (GAAP) methods
  • Distinguishes between “big picture” concepts and comments and specialized, smaller specific facts associated with work; notes the specifics of events and experiences; explains, in general, how details impact end goals or outcomes; ensures that work is completed accurately and with the appropriate level of detail
  • Generates reports in appropriate format using basic software; reviews reports to ensure accuracy and completeness; identifies some problems with report generation (e.g., missing variables, incorrect data, etc.)
  • Demonstrates a general understanding of technology used by the company; communicates basic technological concepts and terminology; applies standard technology in daily

Minimum Qualifiers

  • Bachelor's Degree – Preferred engineering, computer science, accounting, finance, economics, or math or related field.
