About this job

Design pressure vessels to ASME Section VIII, Division 1 current edition using DesignCalcs software by Computer Engineering.
Produce detailed fabrication drawings per Code using AutoCAD.
Revise Quality Control Manual as needed to adhere to Code/Team Leader changes.
Assemble job packages with all documentation required for review and acceptance by the Authorized Inspector(AI)/Certified Individual (CI).
Schedule all AI visits for job review & hold point designations/ hold point inspections/ hydrotest witnessing.
Create purchase orders (PO's) for all Code materials to required specifications/Code of fabrication. Ensure Material Test Reports accompany all received Code materials.
Create PO's for AI billing and update the cost log.
Work with receiving clerk to inspect all Code materials and create Receiving Inspection Reports (RIR's).
Prepare travelers for the pressure vessels in order to maintain traceability of all welded joints (welder, process used, dates welded, etc).
Order all ASME Code nameplates
Prepare all Data Reports (U-1, U-3, etc) for AI/CI acceptance and submit to The National Board for registration.
Place all the documentation in the main project file once closed.
Update document Index Log, NB Registration Log, List of Code Vessels log.
Update weekly ASME schedule to show all progress.
Write Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS's) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR's) as needed.
Perform testing of any new welders (plate or pipe).
Testing of welders to a certified WPS as needed.
Knowledge of welding symbols.
Record results on a Welder Performance Qualification record (WPQ).
Maintain Welder Continuity Log, Welder Qualification Log and Welder Requalification Log.
Prepare for all Code audits. "UM" - Annual and "U" - Triennial.
Prepare all documentation for any Canadian Registration Numbers (CRN's) needed for vessels/packages.
Scan all stock MTR's to the server and update the Stock Material List log.
Inspect welds on packages visually to ensure standard of quality is met.
