The Time Warner Cable PAC West Region currently seeks a Broadband Technician, for our Business Services Department in our Woodland Hills, CA office. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Install, move, change and/or disconnect video, data, fiber/RFoG, music/audio, and other voice communications systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Test, resolve problems and verify analog/digital video, high-speed data, Business Services Phone,

- RFoG problems resulting from network, drop, account or customer wiring and CPE issues.

- Install, service and support hubs, routers, wireless devices, AP ' s, WiFi and commercial voice hardware services.

- Load client software, confirm operation and assist in connectivity issues when requested.

- Requires knowledge of PBX systems, voice transport protocols, circuit testing, and commercial telephone systems.

- Process, test and/or verify telephone porting/native assignments and activations for dial tone, call features, hunting configurations and DID line activations.

- Ability to work with electrical circuits, test equipment and to do technical work as demonstrated by previous training or experience, performance on present job, testing or a combination of these.

- Perform preventative maintenance during customer site visit insuring all commercial accounts receive the optimum reliability from the Business Services group.

- Accurately complete paperwork associated with each transaction such as daily/monthly reports, audits, CLI logbook, vehicle inspections, material/tools requisitions.

- Drive company vehicle safely, obey all traffic laws and comply with all safety and security requirements.

- Rotate and support the On-Call process including evenings, weekends, and holidays as assigned.

- Must possess good communication skills and have the ability to relate to Business Class customers in a positive and quality oriented style ensuring their expectations are exceeded in every way.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Three months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent required.

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

- Valid California driver ' s license and a driving record that complies with company policy.

- Fluency in a second language, including Spanish, a plus.

- Past commercial service, support and sales experience desired.

- Knowledge of and details about performing video, high-speed data, wireless and voice services (VoIP or Circuit Switched) installations to commercial customers is very useful. Experience with PBX ' s,

- PRI, SIP, central office functions and CLASS services beneficial.

- Successful completion of pre-hire screening test(s).

- Must posses color acuity (no color blindness).

- Working knowledge in the use of various tools and equipment, mechanical aptitude.

- Ability to access, analyze and interrupt network performance data.

- Ability to use and operate Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint applications.

- Ability to work in an outside environment virtually 100 percent of the time.

- Endure exposure to inclement weather, insects, reptiles, and animals.

- Endure exposure to confined spaces in attics and crawl spaces.

- Ability to work closely with commercial customers with varying levels of skill and knowledge to resolve service problems in meeting their expectations.

Materials and Equipment used:

Company vehicle, hand tools, power tools, cordless drill, ladders, signal meter, computers, laptops, cellular phones, telephone and customer owned equipment.
