o Support the strategic needs of the business by leveraging the assets of the Advanced Analytics CoE to guide the architecture and delivery of straightforward, robust solutions which support the growing analytical and reporting needs of the enterprise.

o Support the real-time analytics and alerting infrastructure which includes, but is not limited to, Storm, Kafka, HDFS, YARN.

  • Concisely report technical information to executive management (e.g. problems, solutions, architecture)
  • Evaluate and manage consulting resources
  • Assist Enterprise Architects in maintaining a Big Data architecture roadmap and providing updates to upper management and team members. 
  • Administration:  System Administration, Security Administration, Database Administration, Workload Management Administration
  • Performance Optimization & Management:
  • Performance Analysis and Optimization recommendations
  • Workload Management
  • Work in concert with the Enterprise Business Intelligence CoE to deliver reporting performance specified by business requirements.
  • Assist Data Management & Integration CoE with performance improvement recommendations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -
• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must pass the Drug Test.
• Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses


EDUCATION REQUIRED -
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 5


PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -
7+ years of total IT experience with Linux, Shell Scripting, Java
3+ years Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, NoSQL, Cassandra
1 year with Storm and Kafka
Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering Big Data / Analytic solutions
Excellent leadership, teambuilding, and interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience teaching and mentoring technical content
Experience delivering Big Data solutions
Industry experience in Retail and/or Wholesale
Consulting experience


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES -
Working knowledge of the complete software development life cycle.

Proficient with operating systems software, networking tools, application development and multidimensional tools.

Working knowledge of relational databases, logical modeling, and data warehouse.

Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
