Per Diem position for Registered Nurse for thriving non-medical home care agency. Performs all duties to maintain requirements for RSA licensure in the state of Maryland.
Accountability:
Reports to General Manager and has accountability to client care coordinator, scheduling coordinators and bookkeeper.
Qualifications:
- Must have current Maryland Registered Nurse license.
- Previous home care experience preferred but not required.
- Must be a confident and empathetic caregiver.
- Must exhibit excellent judgment, critical thinking, and reasoning skills.
- Valid driver’s license with current auto insurance.
- Current and unrestricted Maryland RN license to practice
- Current CPR certification
- Current Continuing Education as required by Maryland
- Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Must possess and demonstrate excellent communication skills as well as positive professional, business image.
Duties Include:
- Assessments and reassessments according to State of Maryland board of nursing regulations
- Field supervision of care as designated
- Participate in developing the Plan of Care for personal care clients
- Maintaining documentation of RN services provided in client records
- Assist with skills assessment upon hire and ongoing as needed
- Provide field training and retraining to CNA’s, when indicated
- Communication with other members of the patients’ multi-disciplinary team
- Emergency management when indicated
- Maintain records and schedules to maintain compliance with MD board of nursing

Working Environment:
Office environment. Does require travel in personal vehicle to visit clients and caregivers.
Position Physical Demands:
Walking, sitting, and standing with lifting limited to files and records typically not expected to exceed 5 pounds in weight. Extended time at a computer work screen and on the telephone. Maybe required to provide services to clients, so would need to be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
