We're currently searching for a Full Time Associate that can work the front desk but also have sales experience. The role will be a mixture of both duties - ensuring guest satisfaction and revenue optimization through check in, check out and attentive coordination of hotel services for the guest. We are looking for someone who is an entrepreneurial, self starter that thrives on achieving results well above that of the competition.

 

Requirements

Since this position is a mixture of Front Desk and Sales duties, responsibilities may include:

· Books guest reservations and/or coordinates with reservation center

· Registers guests into the hotel in a prompt and courteous manner using up-selling techniques to maximize room rates; prepares for group check-ins, check-outs, and VIP arrivals. Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests

· Handles confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity

· Answers and routes calls as appropriate; takes guest messages with accuracy

· Assists with sales and marketing efforts as directed by the General Manager

· Offers and properly handles requests for wake-up calls

· Records pertinent guest information in the pass on log

· Replenishes continental breakfast as needed and keeps area clean

· Ensures common area/lobby is clean

· Performs laundry functions as directed

· Checks guests in and out of the hotel; processes customer payments according to established policies and procedures.

· Answers phone in a prompt, efficient, and friendly manner.

· Promotes hotel services, facilities and outlets and becomes informed and knowledgeable of upcoming events/ functions in the hotel and in the surrounding area.

· Answers guests’ questions about the property and amenities and is able to refer and direct guests to area attractions and outlets.

* Supports through administrative tasks. This includes but is not limited to entering client and group data in Hotel Sales Pro, entering group Special Rate Programs (SRP’s), monitoring reports from Property Management Systems (PMS)/Revenue Systems, calling for cut off dates and rooming lists and agendas for groups

* Takes responsibility for daily administration of the Sales Office including but not limited to ensuring phone coverage, ordering and inventorying supplies, and researching promotional opportunities for the Sales Office.

* Finds new leads through tele-prospecting and conducting internet research on market/industry situation, trends and events; makes recommendations and prepares reports.

* Books and actively pursues business in SMERF and other market(s)

* Contributes to development of the Marketing Plan and implements the Plan as directed.

* Actively contributes to daily Sales and Yield Management meetings, Weekly Sales Meetings, Weekly Revenue Meetings and prepares and submits timely and relevant sales reports.

* Engages and follows up with guests to ensure a good experience was had.

* Attends certain civic events and prepares and attends trade shows.

* Any other tasks/projects as assigned by the Director of Sales/GM
