LTI Services is seeking material handlers to fill 2 open positions for a company in Darien, WI.  This is a Monday-Thursday position.  The hours are from 7am-530pm.  Please submit resume by replying to this ad.

SUMMARY

Under the direction of Parts Supervisor, packs and prepares customer orders for shipping, receives material and equipment, and loads and unloads trucks according to established procedures and shipping regulations, meeting customer delivery requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This list of duties may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary.

  • Pick orders from stock or from staging area.
  • Prepare product for shipping to vendors, powdercoat and outsource parts. Load trucks with outgoing products and unload trucks with incoming materials.
  • Computer skills: basic spreadsheet, able to make transactions in mrp/visual software.
  • Good penmanship.
  • Verify the quantity and quality of material received.
  • Place incoming materials into storage; then inputting that data in to the computer system.
  • Pull materials from storage and deliver to production as needed.
  • Operate a bander to band boxes/skids to be shipped.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, and get them to correct personel.
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
  • Process recycled products as needed.
  • Read blueprints, schematics, and bills of lading.
  • Read a tape measure.
  • Prior forklift experience; 3-6 months minimum.
  • Be able to locate parts and properly skid them to ship out.
  • Be able to follow instructions and stage parts for next units.
  • Work close and well with others
  • Work with limited supervision.
  • Operate  handheld scan guns

Education and/or Experience

  • Requires High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 1 – 3 months related experience required
  • Prior forklift certification required

 

Language Skills

Ability to read blueprints and schematics.  Knowledge of metrics and standard measurements.  Good communication skills, must regularly communicate with other departments.  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.   Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to workplace chemicals in addition to being exposed to heat and cold. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, occasionally loud.
