Childtime in Liberty Twp., 4924 Hamilton Mason Road, is hiring a full time Kindergarten Teacher!


Promotes children’s physical, mental, and social development by preparing them for the 1st grade experience; teaching natural and social science, music, art, math and language. Plans and implements activities designed to promote the social, physical and intellectual growth of children under her/his care. Maintains classroom records, cleanliness, and safety of all children at all times. Keeps parents informed of the progress of their child.

Essential Functions/Job Duties & Responsibilities:
•The ability to apply knowledge of current education, best practices, child development, instructional theories, methodologies and techniques to the subject matter or abilities of students. Maintains quality results by establishing, following, and enforcing standards including curriculum, accreditation and company standards.
•Follows all curriculum guidelines set by the Company, school and state.
•Plans the daily program for children that will encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotional, social, cognitive and physical development.
•Provides individual and group instruction designed to meet individual needs and help the pupils make a satisfactory transition to the 1st grade.
•Helps a class of children learn in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the company and school.
•Keeps educational materials, equipment and general room environment neat, safe and clean. Keep all children safe at all times.
•Plans and holds conferences with parents of children in the class. Provides daily written feedback to parents.
•Maintains professional conduct in working with parents, children and staff as well as visitors and general public.
•Participates in local, regional and/or national early childhood or elementary level workshops during the school year as evidences by certificates of completion.
•Ability to help identify a child’s behavior or abilities as possibly delayed or having special needs and takes the appropriate action to help the child and the family.
•Stimulates student interest in, and broadens understanding of, their physical and social environment by conducting field visits, group discussions and dramatic play.
•Helps children form relationships with other children and adults by fostering cooperative social behaviors; leading games and group projects.
•Encourages students’ participation by providing interactive activities.
•Promotes self expression and appreciation of the arts by encouraging students in singing, dancing, rhythmic activities, and in the use of art materials.
•Promotes personal hygiene by instructing children in practices of personal cleanliness and self care.

Education:

•Must meet state licensing and the State Board of Education requirements for education.
•BA Degree required in Early Childhood or related field.

Experience:
•Must meet State Licensing and State Board of Education requirements for experience.
•Must have prior Preschool or Kindergarten teaching experience.
•Must have classroom management experience.
