Post-Anesthesia Care Unit - PACU Nurse - (PACU RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 10 D/N Pay Rate: $31.00 - 35.00
This Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) boasts an effective patient care model and the latest in advanced technology. A team of highly driven physicians and nurses deliver truly compassionate care in a professionally challenging and welcoming environment based on high-level patient care.
The role of the post-anesthesia care unit nurse (PACU nurse) is to provide care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia, including general, regional, and local. The PACU RN treats inpatients and outpatients according to their needs, monitoring their vital signs to determine necessary care. (Postoperative nausea is a commonly treated symptom.) Due to the possibility of rapid changes in a patient’s physiological condition, PACU RNs are required to administer diligent care via monitoring, assessment, intervention, and continuous reassessment.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1 to 2 years Critical Care experience (which can be with patients in the PACU) and 2 years PACU
WY RN License
CPR - American Heart Association; Can't expire within assignment length
ACLS - American Heart Association; Can't expire within assignment length
PALS - American Heart Association; Can't expire within assignment length
