Postpartum Nurse - Postpartum RN - (PP RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 N Pay Rate: $23.00 - 27.00
This postpartum unit cares for mothers and babies following delivery and recovery in the birthing area. Nurses will teach first-time parents new skills, and review these skills for parents who have already know basic care and safety. Nurses may be responsible for couplet care, blood sugar monitoring of infants, Bili light protocols, IVs, Mag sulfate drips, and lactation support. This job will have you joining a top notch postpartum team of specialized nurses and healthcare professionals. Interested in joining this prestigious team?
Postpartum nurses are responsible for caring for both moms and their newborns after delivery. The postpartum care nurse plays a crucial role in the hours following delivery, monitoring mothers and helping to ensure proper recovery. Postpartum RNs must recognize postpartum depression and teach new moms how to address emotions, while also acting as a teacher for the new parents and usually giving instructions on how to care, bathe, breastfeed and/or bottle-feed the newborn and monitor his or her health.
