Description
Medline Industries, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Vice President, Real Estate, located in the corporate headquarters in Mundelein, IL. This position will be responsible for complete supply chain for Medline’s new and existing distribution centers, including: site selection, and evaluating value in terms of leasing, purchasing or building of replacement and new distribution centers. We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working professional with a solid education and background in real estate, and a desire to work for a fast-paced, large corporate organization. In addition to leadership and analytical skills, you must have a roll-up your sleeves attitude.
The challenging responsibilities of the position include:
• Detailed market assessments to determine where to place new or move existing locations
• Detailed and creative negotiations of leases and land purchases
• Lead the allocation and balancing of sales by zip code to determine distribution center alignment
• Partner with Construction, Operations, Inventory Management and Sales teams to shape Medline’s distribution network
• Timely leasing of square footage as needed
• Manage leasebacks
• Maintenance planning and protection of all distribution centers in the US, Canada and international expansion
• Data collection and research
Qualification
The required qualifications for this position include:
• Supply chain and commercial real estate experience
• Extensive contract and lease negotiations experience
• Understanding of construction processes and methods
• Strong analytical skills
• Advanced computer skills
• Familiarity with CAD and site mapping technologies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Independent thinker with excellent problem solving skills
• Excellent collaboration and relationship building skills a must
• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
• 10+ years of industry experience
• Travel up to 25%
