Spartan is currently hiring for a Maintenance Mechanic in the Fresno, CA area. This is an outstanding opportunity to work as a temp to hire position on 1st shift for a reputable installation company.
Job Description:
perform all aspects of mechanical, electrical, and preventative maintenance on various high speed filling and packaging machinery.
Job Requirements:
Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of 3 years experience, in a food production environment
An associate degree or equivalent technical training is preferred.
Required to work as a team member and solve problems while providing innovative solutions .
Have strong mechanical aptitude and math skills
Ability to rebuild and overhaul various types of machinery w/little supervision
Good electrical trouble shooting skills
Capable of reading wiring diagrams and performing basic wiring up to 480 volts
PLC experience and knowledge of ladder logic would be a definite plus.
Excellent Attendance, dependable transportation
- Safety - follows policies and procedures, safety awareness and work within established safety practices on the job and wears all safety equipment required.
- Physically able to handle repetitive movement and lifting up to 20 pounds and ,standing ,bending, reaching for entire 8 hour shift.
- Willing to submit to a back ground check and drug screen
Pay range : $13.00 to $17.00 per hour ( overtime may be required)
Shift/Hours: Day/night shift , Monday – Friday hours per day vary
