Spartan is currently hiring for a Maintenance Mechanic in the Fresno, CA area. This is an outstanding opportunity to work as a temporary-to-hire position on 1st Shift for a reputable installation company.
Job Description:
Perform all aspects of mechanical, electrical, and preventative maintenance on various high speed filling and packaging machinery.
Job Requirements:
- Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of 3 years experience in a food production environment
- Associate degree or equivalent technical training is preferred
- Required to work as a team member and solve problems while providing innovative solutions
- Have strong mechanical aptitude and math skills
- Ability to rebuild and overhaul various types of machinery with little supervision
- Good electrical trouble shooting skills
- Capable of reading wiring diagrams and performing basic wiring up to 480 volts
- PLC experience and knowledge of ladder logic would be a definite plus
- Excellent attendance and dependable transportation
- Safety - follow policies and procedures, safety awareness and work within established safety practices on the job, and wear all safety equipment required
- Physically able to handle repetitive movement and lifting up to 20 lbs, standing, bending, and reaching for entire 8 hour Shift
- Willing to submit to a Background Check and Drug Screen
Pay Rate: $13.00-$17.00 per hour (overtime may be required)
Shift/Hours: Day/Night Shift, Monday-Friday, daily hours vary
