This new facility, known as "The Lodge" is home to a 24 hour Level II trauma center including full Medical/Surgical care. The hospital also provides full Women's and Children's Services, including Labor and Delivery, and a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The Oregon Heart & Vascular Institute is located within the facility, as is the Oregon Neurosciences Institute.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
OR license
2+ years of PACU experience
BLS(AHA), ACLS, PALS
Large Hospital and Pediatric experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous travel experience
Shift: 10E (1p - 11:30p)
Start Date: ASAP
The role of the post-anesthesia care unit nurse (PACU nurse) is to provide care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia, including general, regional, and local. The PACU RN treats inpatients and outpatients according to their needs, monitoring their vital signs to determine necessary care. (Postoperative nausea is a commonly treated symptom.) Due to the possibility of rapid changes in a patient’s physiological condition, PACU RNs are required to administer diligent care via monitoring, assessment, intervention, and continuous reassessment.
Required Qualifications
OR license
2+ years of PACU experience
BLS(AHA), ACLS, PALS
Large Hospital and Pediatric experience
Preferred Qualifications
Previous travel experience
