Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse - (NICU RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 N Pay Rate: $27.00 - 31.00
Job Description
Work as a NNICU level 3 RN in top ranked hospital setting. The care will include cardiac, PDA ligations, and birth defects. RN works with titratable drips, UAC/UVC lines, tube feedings, cardiorespiratory monitoring, and high frequency ventilators. This unit include treatment with nitric oxide and ECMO. RN does attend high risk deliveries. RN assists with breastfeeding and promotes family centered care. This facility has computerized documentation. Start date is as soon as possible.
The role of the neonatal intensive care nurse (NICU nurse) is to provide direct and specialized care for newborns needing close monitoring due to premature birth, birth defects, infection, or other medical conditions requiring surgery or therapy. Working in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) with doctors and other healthcare professionals, the NICU RNs assist in developing and implementing a plan of care for high-risk newborns requiring high-technology care, including ventilators, incubators, or other special equipment or surgery.
