Surgical Technologist - Operating Room - (Surg Tech - OR)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 E Pay Rate: $18.00 - 23.00

Even when we rank at the top of the industry we continue to make dramatic gains in a broad range of areas from treatment of hypertension and asthma to breast cancer screening - often reaching the top ten percent of all health care providers nationally. As one of the nations "Top Hospitals" with an "A" grade for Patient Safety, our dedicated physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals provide care to more than 25,000 patients admitted to our hospital and an additional 750,000 patients through our outpatient clinics.
Unit Details:
15 Beds in unit, Approximately 45 Procedures Performed per day.
CST's MUST be able to work ALL specialities of Peri-Op.
No Call necessary
Tertiary types of surgery.
Any type of procedure that could cause ethical issues? YES- Blood products/transfusions, D&E
Patient Population (i.e Orthopedic, Urology, Ophthalmology,Head& Neck , Podiatry, Gyn & Gen.Surgery etc)
Dress Code: Hospital provides scrub apparel to be exchanged daily. Okay to bring warm-up jacket.
Surgical technologists work under the direction of a team of surgical personnel and assist in surgical operations as needed. Surgical technicians are responsible for preparing the OR, which includes setting up surgical equipment and instruments, as well as passing those instruments to surgeons during the procedure. Settings include:

Required Qualifications
1. National Certification from NBSTSA
2. experience with eye surgery and maxilo facial experience
3. experience w/Orthopedic cases and Neuro Surgery cases
4. Total Joints experience
5. Peds experience
Preferred Qualifications
Cardiac Surgery experience.
