GPI/CARQUEST corporate office, located in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a Deployment Planner II who will report to the Manager of Deployment Planning.

Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for inventory management across the organization including inventory flow maximization and system enhancements. Coordinates with Supply Planners to identify and resolve gaps in the supply chain management.

Essential Functions:
•Manages store daily returns processes and excess inventory to ensure that the inventory is considered for planning purposes.
•Coordinates with Supply Planners to track and develop consistent lead times for inventory.
•Ensures that new inventory moves with limited delay by working with Distribution Center & Store Support Operations.
•Performs traditional forecasting activities to optimize store inventory assortment and improve inventory turns.
•Maximizes productivity by providing feedback for system reporting additions and enhancements.
•Manages the store assortment process by using the ESROP Oracle tool.
•Acts as a single point of contact for store management concerning inventory stocking decisions, inventory system parameters, interchanges and changeovers.
•Reviews Order Point Portal process requests for store leadership and approves or disapproves the requests based on sales analysis concerning specific stock keeping units (SKU) and line.
•Assists in project management for line update reviews in conjunction with merchandising vision, Store Operations & DC Operation’s needs.
•Reviews and approves placement of inventory into the company retail stores.

Required Skills
Education Level:
•Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience

Work Experience & Skills Required:
•Decisive & Results driven professional with 1-3 years’ experience.
•Must be customer service driven.
•Knowledge in production planning and/or inventory experience within a retail environment.
•Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
•Background in the retail automotive aftermarket industry especially as it pertains to automotive parts product knowledge.
