Cooks and Catering Associates Job Description

Cooks and Catering Associates take orders, serve or prepare food and beverages to patrons at tables in a banquet hall or restaurant setting. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

 •        Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.

•        Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.

•        Check patrons' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.

•        Serve food or beverages to patrons, and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required.

•        Catering associate carry trays with  to 8 – 10 plates

•        Clean tables or counters after patrons have finished dining.

 

Ideal Cooks and Catering Associates Candidates

•        3 – 5 years of relevant experience preferred

•        Valid drivers license

•        Reliable transportation

•        Committed to safety at all times

•        Excellent attendance

 

Pay Rate: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour

Shift/Hours: Monday – Sunday, various shifts, 6 – 10 hour shifts
