About this job
Our client in Nashville, TN is seeking a production supervisor. They are looking for someone to help with the day to day direction of the production technicians. The areas of focus would be safety, quality, and production. Core responsibilities include the following:
1. Assure that all production, quality and breakdown information is clearly communicated to the next shift supervisor and team leads
2.Make employment decisions
3. Coach and counsel crew members in areas such as safety, performance, attendance, training, housekeeping/5S and quality to ensure understanding and compliance of company requirements and administer discipline when violations occur.
4. Lead team meetings communicating quality and production information from the previous shift and general information from other departments
5. Coordinate work assignments for team members
6. Perform departmental audits in areas of safety, training and quality to support company needs.
7. Review production data turned in from each operator
8. Assist in preventative maintenance of equipment
9. Assist in union issues that may arise, to include conducting work activities within the confines of CBA
