POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager On Duty is an hourly team member assigned for limited periods of time to temporarily assume and be authorized to perform the duties and responsibilities of the General Manager as described in the General Manager Job Description, including but not limited to supervision of the property staff and all other aspects of day to day routine operations of the property. This includes maintaining the standards and procedures at the property as well as ensuring the continued operation of the property. While on temporary assignment as an MOD, the team member will not normally be scheduled for their regular shift in their regular position. During this temporary assignment, the MOD may be required to reside at the property premises.
Prior to first assignment of MOD responsibilities, the individual must:
Complete the MOD Training Program and be certified by an authorized member of management
Sign the Manager On Duty Program Team Member Acknowledgement
Receive, review and sign the Manager On Duty Assignment Report
Fully understand and strictly comply with the MOD Program Guidelines
Successfully pass a background check

Service Mindset: Talk to guests daily about their stay to proactively identify and address problems
Positive Guest Experience: Ensure information is available regarding property and local amenities, identify and address guest issues onsite and from customer complaint calls
Staffing and Supervision: Supervision of property staff in the General Manager's absence (may include scheduling, and responding to staff shortages)
Team Member Relations: Maintain positive Team Member relations at the property, respond to Team Member concerns and complaints, set the example for Team Member interaction with each other
Quality Adherence:
Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards
Maintenance of property grounds in compliance with standards
Compliance with Motel 6 SOPs and audit standards
Compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws
Financial Accountability:
Timely and accurate payroll and bookkeeping, and maintaining property records
Daily bank deposits as needed
Safeguard all Motel 6 / Studio 6 Assets: Assist the General Manager in implementing and managing the property's Safety and Security program as outlined in the Safety and Security Manual
Support: Issue supplies and equipment as needed, perform duties of Clean Team, Maintenance Team, Welcome Team or other supervisory staff as needed due to special circumstances and/or as requested by management

MOD Additional Accountability:
Maintain accurate records of hours worked, including overtime;
Able to work additional hours if needed due to any unusual circumstances or occurrences;
Comply with company's incident reporting guidelines and immediately contact the General Manager, Area Manager or other appropriate management personnel as required by emergency situations (for example, serious security incident, Team Member situation, significant damage to the property, receipt of legal documents, media contact, etc.)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent
Computer proficiency, including Windows, Outlook, Word and Excel
Good communication Skills
Ability to exercise independent discretion and judgment in performing managerial duties and responsibilities
Must be able to meet the job requirements for all property positions in order to perform them as needed
New hires, must meet all G6 Hospitality's employment qualifications in force at time of hiring, including successful passing of background check
Current G6 Hospitality Team Members, must have received a Meets Expectations or above on last performance appraisal and have successfully passed a background check
Possess a valid driver's license
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The individual occupying this position must be able to perform essential job functions and the general duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
Pushing and pulling required up to 75 pounds
Lifting and carrying bulk supplies weighing up to 60 pounds at waist level
Firm and simple grasping are required when performing most duties
Stand, walk or sit alternately, depending on specific daily demands. Approximately 50% of the time is spent on feet and 50% sitting at desk
Up to 50% of time, may have to perform the following physical activities: bend / stoop / squat; crawl; climb stairs / ladders; kneel; push or pull; twists torso; reach above shoulder level
Physical capability of accessing and visually overseeing all areas of the property and to ensure Team Members' proper performance of duties
