Heartland Hospice has an exciting Per Diem (as needed) opportunity for a Chaplain/Spiritual Care Coordinator to join our established, growing hospice agency supporting patients and families in their homes throughout Davenport and the surrounding areas.  Position schedule will involve working 1 day/week, on call rotation and additional hours as needed. 

We are seeking chaplains to provide spiritual care to patients, families and staff as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team that provides the highest quality end-of-life care. The successful candidate will preferably have previous hospice experience.

Preferred qualifications include: M. Div. or MA in theology or pastoral ministry; minimum of 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education. Certification by APC or NACC or other pastoral care cognate group, or the ability to be certified within one year of hire. Must have ecclesiastical endorsement.

Position Requirements:

Experience in client/family counseling. Demonstrated experience in working with clients and families coping with terminal illness and death. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
