The On Site Regional Account Manager handles information about patient services and how those services are paid by investigating and pursuing recoveries through contact with various parties. The representative manages subrogation files, negotiates settlements, and ensures adherence to compliance policies.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Provide claims expertise support by reviewing, researching, investigating, negotiating, and resolving all types of claims as well as recovery and resolution for health plans, commercial customers, and government entities

  • Analyze, identify trends, and provide reports as necessary

  • Ensure adherence to state and federal compliance policies, reimbursement policies, and contract compliance

  • Manage subrogation files

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • May include initiating telephone calls to members, providers and other insurance companies to gather coordination of benefits data.

  • Investigate and pursue recoveries and payables on subrogation claims and file management. 

  • Process recovery on claims

  • Ensure adherence to state and federal compliance policies, reimbursement policies and contract compliance.

  • May conduct contestable investigations to review medical history. May monitor large claims including transplant cases.

  • Extensive work experience, possibly in multiple functions. 

  • Work does not usually require established procedures.

  • Works independently.

  • Acts as a resource for others

  • Coordinates others' activities.
This position will be in located onsite in Fort Smith, AR. The position will be onsite at the client office at CHS-Fort Smith corporate offices and will have a large volume of client interaction.




Requirements



Requirements:



  • High school diploma or GED

  • Must be available to work core hours of 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday

  • Must be available to potentially travel up to 10% of the year only if needed to cover another location

  • 1+ year or more experience working within a healthcare/insurance setting. i.e in a providers office, billing office, doctor's office etc.

  • 1+ year or more experience with medical insurance dealing with billing and/or health plans

  • 1+year customer service analyzing and solving customer problems

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Excel creating spreadsheets, sorting, filtering, utilizing formulas and pivot tables

  • 1+ year of experience working in a client facing role within an office setting and/or working on site at a client facility is required

  • Must live within a commutable distance of Forth Smith Arkansas.


Assets:



  • Knowledge of Claims Platforms (UNET, COSMOS, FACETS, OXFORD, Diamond and/or NICE

  • Experience working with medical claims and/or adjustments

  • Experience within a collector's role with 3rd party debt, delinquent accounts or collections from business and consumers

  • Customer service within healthcare or call center environment is highly preferred


Physical Requirements and Work Environment:



  • Frequent speaking, listening using a headset, sitting, use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse, handling other objects, long periods working at a computer

  • Service center environment with moderate noise level due to Representatives talking, computers, printers, and floor activity
