Position Description:


This
position requires extensive and in-depth interaction with patients,
co-workers, Insurance companies, Government and State entities, and
other Hospital personnel. Registrar II positions require the ability to
multi-task by learning other entities of Registration facets. Emphasis
on team collaboration, cooperation, and continually improving the
accuracy and efficiency of what the job entails.


This position will be reporting to St. Joseph's Hospital.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Be knowledgeable with various Insurance products (Medicare-Medicaid, Managed Care, etc.).
  • Ability to identify and address patient issues. 
  • Collect co-pays and deductibles. 
  • Possess excellent verbal and written Communication skills. 
  • Able to demonstrate practical applications of goal setting, quality control procedures and problem solving.
  • Safeguard confidential information.  
  • Prioritize workflow and demonstrate appropriate judgment.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in Hospital environment
  • Cash handling experience
  • Insurance Benefit Verification experience
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Bilingual fluency with English and Spanish.
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
