Position Description:


 


As a SQL Server Developer You will be involved in the creation of logical and physical database model. Other responsibilities involve creating of data access methods, designing for performance and populating and maintaining data. The candidate must be able to communicate best practices, review the work of others and mentor others.


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Solid organizational skills and focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment

  • Providing accurate and timely estimates for tasks

  • Conduct code review to ensure the work delivered by the team is of high quality standards

  • Part of development team to achieve key business objectives

  • Collaborate with the team on application architecture design and decision-making

  • Develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of the business

  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in SQL Server DBMS

  • Assist in estimation of small to medium size work effort

  • Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions

  • Performs complex conceptual analyses

  • Reviews work performed by others and provides recommendations for improvement

  • Provides explanations and information to other on complex problems

  • Uphold enterprise policy guidelines and recommend new and improved guidelines.

Requirements

Requirements:



  • 5 or more years of SQL Server design and development experience

  • 5 or more years of experience working with relational databases

  • 3 or more years of experience with the System Development Life Cycle

  • 2 ore more years of experience with the Integration Services (SSIS)

  • Experience with SQL Server 2005/2008/2008R2/2012

Assets:



  • Healthcare analytics experience preferred

  • Experience with the Reporting Services (SSRS)

  • Experience with the Analysis Services (SSAS)

  • Experience with Agile methodology

  • Experience with SQL Server 2000/2012
