Job Description: This position prepares and assists in making great tasting, bulk meals in accordance with safety and sanitation guidelines. The production cook contributes to operation of an efficient kitchen that produces meals in a timely manner. This position participates in all aspects of kitchen operations including taking inventory, receiving deliveries, food preparation, storage and clean-up. The day and hours for this position are Monday-Friday 5:00am-12:30pm and other assigned days as needed. Qualifications: Must possess and maintain a food handlers license and have experience in using safe food preparation and storage practices. Must have the ability to read, write, compute, and communicate in English. Must have solid interpersonal skills coupled with being a self-starter. Essential Duties: *Assembles, measures, mixes ingredients for a variety of food items to prepare a variety of food items according to recipes. * Cleans and maintains equipment and utensils according to sanitary procedures. * Follows written, verbal, and other directions to assist in preparing the proper portion of food for each customer. *Participates in cleaning, maintenance and security of kitchen and storage areas. *Ensures that all foods are received, stored, and prepared at the correct temperatures. * Operates a variety of kitchen equipment and machines, including slicer, chopper, steamer, mixer and ovens. * Able to loft up to 50lbs Please contact the office at 210.734.7300 for additional information
