Production Painter Needed at new facility in Columbus WI!! Painter (not powder coat) Pay: $12-15/hr Based on Experience Hours of work: Core hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm with unpaid 30 minute lunch. Occasional overtime is expected. Job Duties and Responsibilities 1. Read work orders and similar documentation to stage product for painting. 2. Prepare product for painting, to include clean and masking the product. 3. Prepare paint for use in the booth and in the hand spray guns. 4. Use cleaning fluids to clean the machines and the work area. 5. Apply paint to various sized cylinders and miscellaneous components o Operate paint booths o Operate hand-held paint spray guns 6. Observe paint results for quality. 7. Make decisions regarding acceptability of results. 8. Troubleshoot when product appearance is less than desired. 9. Control oven temperature, operate and clean paint equipment, check and adjust paint viscosity. 10. Other duties include cleaning and maintenance of paint line, properly disposing of hazardous waste, and to service and check chemical levels in appropriate locations. 11. Maintain stocking levels of masking material, paint, and chemicals. Competencies: Level 1 - Paint Operator 1. Able to read and follow routine work processes and procedures. 2. Requires a moderate degree of mechanical, technical and/or analytic knowledge and experience. 3. May include requirements for concise arithmetic skills and ability to communicate in writing. 4. Some troubleshooting on product appearance requirement (may apply). 5. Ability to operate a paint gun, and other hand/power tools. 6. Ability to discern proper colors to match standards. 7. Ability to read and follow written instructions regarding paint mixing 8. Ability to exchange information with co-workers. Take and give work instructions, schedules and reports of work completed. 9. Understand and adhere to safety guidelines while working near chemicals and paint line. Always wear required personal protective equipment while performing work. May require wearing a mask/respirator. Education and Cognitive Skills: A high school diploma or GED demonstrates possession of the following skills: 1. Basic math skills to record and calculate production results. 2. Basic reading skills to understand instructions, shipping documents and warnings. 31-40 Hours / 1st Shift Requisition Type :Temp to Hire Start Time : 7:00 AM End Time : 3:30 PM
