Job Duties may include:

The Housekeeping agent is responsible for cleaning guest rooms and responding to guest requests in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

  • Follows detailed worksheet for each room cleaning
  • Completes inventory of room contents on form provided
  • Provides information on any missing items to the manager
  • Clean building floors and walls by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them
  • Change bedding and make beds as directed
  • Stock room food supplies (coffee, tea, sugar, etc.) as needed
  • Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items
  • Gather and empty trash
  • Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
  • Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment
  • Move and arrange furniture and turn mattresses
  • Make adjustments to heating, cooling and ventilating systems. Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications
  • Steam-clean or shampoo carpets. Polish floors
  • Clean and restore building interiors damaged by fire, smoke, or water using commercial cleaning equipment
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
  • Notify supervisor concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
  • Spray insecticides and fumigants as directed to prevent insect infestation
  • Sort linens, load washing machines, and dryer and fold dried items. Sort, count, mark clean linens, and store them in linen closets
  • Deliver any items requested by guests to rooms
  • Observe precautions required to protect resort and guest property, and report damage, theft, and found articles to Supervisors
  • Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies using wheeled carts or by hand as needed

 

Job Requirements:

  • Housekeeping experience preferred but not required
  • Able to lift but not over 50 lbs, push, pull, and reach
  • Read and write in English, bi-lingual English/Spanish encouraged to apply
  • Must be able to follow directions, arrive to work on time, and be flexible with schedule
  • Clean in appearance, no showing tattoos, no visible piercings
  • Suit pants and slacks, dressy mid-calf or longer Capri’s, and nice jeans are acceptable. Inappropriate pants include any that are sagging (no skin showing above pants in front or back), wrinkled, holey, frayed, stained, or patched. In addition, sweatpants, exercise pants, shorts, skorts, bib overalls, leggings, and any spandex or other form-fitting pants are inappropriate. Inappropriate attire for work are tank tops, spaghetti strap tops, midriff tops, printed tee-shirts, halter-tops, tops with bare shoulders, undershirts, and wrinkled shirts. Exposure of cleavage is not acceptable
  • Willing to submit to Drug Screen and Background Check

Pay Rate:  $9.32-$10.00 per hour

Shifts: Monday-Sunday, various Shifts, 25-40 hours per week
