Labor & Delivery Nurse - (LD RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8/12 N Pay Rate: $33.00 - 37.00

Fletcher Allen has a opening for a Nursery nurse. The LD unit will average 180-200 births per month. Located in Burlington, Vermont, Fletcher Allen in alliance with the University of Vermont serves as a national model for the delivery of high-quality academic health care for a rural region, where the best of medicine and technological excellence are delivered with compassion. Because we are grounded in Vermont values, our doctors, specialists, nurses and support staff provide care that is personal and unsurpassed.
Labor and delivery (LD) nurses provide care to women and their newborns during the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal stages. They provide support and monitor vital signs of the mother and baby during birth and deal with any potential problems. They may also provide support and education to mothers and their families after giving birth. LD nurses are found in hospitals, clinics and physician offices, and maternity or birthing centers.
Required Qualifications
Epic or other electronic health record/OBTraceVue or other central fetal monitoring system/OR Circulating experience required

Featuring a Level I Trauma Center and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), the hospital is a National Institutes of Health General Clinical Research Center, is among 39 National Cancer Institute-designated cancer centers in the U.S., and boasts an academic partnership with a major university offering the only advanced nursing practice program in the region.
