The American Academy of Pediatrics, the nation's leading advocacy organization for children's healthcare, is seeking a team oriented individual with strong development, problem solving, and analytical skills to join our IT department. The selected individual will assist in the implementation of computer software needs while ensuring the data integrity of AAP's databases, develop database queries for analytical and statistical reports, and will be responsible for creating and maintaining the database related code development.
Reporting to the Manager Applications Support, this position will assist in the development and implementation of conversion strategies and programs to convert existing databases to the new core business system; conduct data analysis and complete tasks assigned in order to meet project deadlines; assist in the development and implementation of programs to make data available on electronic delivery systems; manage databases and system analysis to ensure data security, consistency and integrity; and provide technical assistance to users as requested.
Qualified candidates must have:
* Bachelors degree in computer science or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
* Three to five years of SQL administration/development in version 2008 or 2012.
* Experience using relational databases and SSIS packages required, as well as extensive knowledge of Transact SQL language and Integration Services.
* Knowledge of Transact SQL programming, SSIS package programming and MS Reporting Services required.
* Ability to learn and work effectively with databases in .NET and client-server environment, and learn other programming languages and applications essential.
* Familiarity with Net Forum database a plus, as well as knowledge of .NET, and Business Intelligence (BI).
* Must work well within a team environment and some weekend work may be required.
