About this job

Optum Local Care Delivery is launching a new market within the greater Salt Lake City, Utah area. The market will be supported by our main Operations Centers in Nevada and Arizona with some positions situated within Utah to ensure that we service the market appropriately.

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Associate Director of Operations and Account Management will have a dotted line to the local Market Vice President and have an individual contributor role while working closely with the operational department heads. The ADO will sit in our West Valley City, Utah office and have the following responsibilities:

Act as the primary senior contact for local issues related to operations (service, claims, eligibility, utilization management, etc.)



Work collaboratively with the heads of centralized operations regarding Utah issues



Develop relationships with the local provider community



Work with Issue Resolution Specialists regarding claims projects, escalated customer issues, and trending analyses



Develop relationships and collaborate with local UHC and Optum leadership and network teams



Act as advocate for local market needs and influence change within Operations to meet customer needs



Educate providers on billing issues, portal navigation, claims policies, and other information



Periodically meet with patients / members when they have service issues and would like to meet in person to discuss



Act as brand ambassador for Local Care Delivery, Optum Medical Network, and LCD's unique Service Model



Work with Operations leadership to design innovative ways to enhance our service model and improve customer satisfaction

Requirements

 


Bachelor's Degree highly preferred

 

7+ years of medical claims required

 

Experience in a service role (e.g. account mangement, customer service, call center, retail, hospitality, etc.)

 

Provider and/or hospital experience preferred

 

Supervisor experience preferred


Experience with account management preferred


Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

 

Experience in creating presentations

 

Strong public speaking and presenting experience

 

Must be comfortable in a matrix environment

 

25% travel required (local, Vegas and Phoenix)
