Cost Accountant

SUMMARY
This role will be directly responsible for the US cost accounting system and maintenance. This position performs various accounting and financial reporting functions as described below.

INDUSTRY: Manufacturing

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintains perpetual inventory.
Oversees quarterly inventories & cycle counts
Manages standard cost system -- responsible for BOM creation/maintenance and ECNs
Performs annual standard full cost roll
Part level profitability reporting for management
Devises, installs or controls systems for determining unit cost of products or services.
Back up to Senior Accountant

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field.
Minimum of 5 years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing work environment
Knowledge of Syteline ERP system a plus.
Planning and organization: an ability to plan and manage multiple projects.
Attention to detail.
Problem analysis and problem resolution.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong team player. Willingness to support finance functions
Thrives in a fast pace work environment
Intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge

Hours: Monday - Thursday (6:00am - 4:00pm)
