CoWorx Staffing at Whelen Engineering is currently seeking Surface Mount Technician (SMT) to produce emergency warning devices.

2 nd Shift – 3:30 PM – Midnight Monday through Friday

3 rd Shift – 11:30 PM – 8:00 AM Sunday through Thursday

Job Description:
To operate machine and ensure proper assembly of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)





Description of Tasks



  • Set up conveyors properly
  • Use EKRA screen printing machine
  • Maintain and load all machines properly and as needed
  • Read and comprehend blue prints
  • Inspect all PCBs for quality control purposes.






Job Requirements


General Requirements:
Individual must be able to follow instructions and

work independently once they have been given clear work tasks. SMT Operator

must be able to set up machine properly as well as change the computer program

individually as needed. Worker must be able to clean and maintain the machine.

Individual must be able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds and be able to lift up to

10 pounds on a regular basis through out a daily work schedule. High technical

acuity and mechanical inclination may be required to be an efficient SMT Op.

Must be able to read blue prints.




Special Requirement / Training: Standing / walking for extended periods.

Reading and comprehending the specifications for PCB’s given by blue prints.

Safety glasses are required. Other forms of training will be received as necessary.
