As a part of our continued growth, we are searching for a new Coding Quality Analyst to join our team...

 

The Coding Quality Analyst is responsible for providing coding and coding auditing services for Providers. This includes the analysis and translation of medical and clinical diagnoses, procedures, injuries, or illnesses into designated numerical codes.

 

This position is based in our corporate office but will include working with our Physician Partners onsite at Clinic locations within the Maricopa County area: Phoenix, Chandler, Tempe, Buckeye, Deer Valley & Scottsdale

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Conducts chart reviews of Lifeprint members - accomplished by traveling to the individual practices and performing the audit onsite.   

  • Coding of physician documentation for the purposes of risk adjustment utilizing the current ICD-9 Coding guidelines.

  • Implement education, and provide formal training to Lifeprint providers and staff as needed regarding coding compliance, documentation guidelines, HCC education and Medicare/Medicaid regulations

  • Risk adjustment data validation support.

  • Assists the Manager of Clinical Quality & Coding, with research, analysis, and response to inquiries regarding compliance, coding, and inappropriate coding.

  • Provide feedback and present solutions, to the Manager of Clinical Coding and Quality, regarding trends or patterns noticed in provider coding.

  • Provider coding education and interdepartmental coding education support.

  • Create Policy and Procedures to be used within the department to support Best Practices.

Requirements

Requirements:


  • A high school diploma or GED (or higher).

  • CPC Certification from AAPC

  • Managed Care experience

  • HCC coding experience for Medicare Advantage

  • 3 or more years of Risk Adjustment coding experience.

  • Provider education experience

  • Must have reliable transportation, valid CA Driver's License and auto insurance.

  • Intermediate proficiency with Windows applications, including MS Excel and Word

 

Assets:


  • Knowledge of ICD-10 coding is preferred

  • Supervisory experience a plus
