Positions in this function are involved in developing market strategies to support products and drive membership/sales growth. Positions develop strategies and tactical plans to support consumer/member innovation, support new product and program launches, and combat competitive pressures. May analyze economic considerations, develop marketing forecasts, estimate costs, and manage program/project budgets.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements.
  • Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems.
  • Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses.
  • Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks.
  • Translates concepts into practice.
  • Provides explanations and information to others on difficult issues.
  • Coaches, provides feedback, and guides others.
  • Acts as a resource for others with less experience. 
  • This role is responsible for developing the marketing strategy execution to support the business strategy on exchanges. This role must ensure execution within UHC E&I organization, but also across the C&S and M&R organizations. 
Additional responsibilities include:
  • Determining the actions needed to participate in exchanges
  • Develop targeted marketing strategies 
  • Partner with RMDs in highest priority markets in executing local marketing plans, as well as with Line of Business teams 
  • Conduct tactical execution, both consumer and business to business
  • Reviews the work of others.
  • Develops innovative approaches.
  • Sought out as expert.
  • Serves as a leader/ mentor.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4+ years Previous consumer marketing experience
  • Previous experience building comprehensive presentation materials and marketing collateral
  • Previous experience with marketing budget and project management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience marketing to targeted demographics such as Hispanic/Latino, African American, etc.
  • Previous experience with public or private healthcare exchanges
  • Previous healthcare industry marketing experience
  • Previous experience with development and management of Microsites
