The Broker Sales Representative is responsible for Sales and Support for
new and existing Brokers. This individual will be responsible for responding to
Broker questions, needs, and objections on Sales opportunities generated from
Brokers seeking to become appointed with Golden Rule Insurance Company, Sales
opportunities on Broker Value Proposition program, and making Outbound Sales
calls to leverage New Business opportunities in target markets.

This is a Part-Time Flex position; A minimum of 25 hours per week up to 35 hours per week during peak season (Sept - May); Non-Peak season (June-August); Time off FLEX schedule will occur during Non-Peak Season for the months of June, July, August.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Receive Inbound Sales calls from prospective Brokers.
  • Identify each individual Insurance producer's unique needs.
  • Profile, convert, and close Sales opportunities for appointment of new
    Broker and/or selling and enrolling in United Select Producer Club.
  • Meet Brokers' specific needs with Golden Rules products, features, and
    services.
  • Complete Appointment application with Broker over the phone.
  • Gain agreement and commitment from Broker to place business with Golden
    Rule.
  • Network to gain additional prospective Broker referrals.
  • Receive Inbound calls from producers and provide direction on licensing,
    appointment in non-resident states, and/or renewing an existing State
    appointment.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Make Outbound sales calls to newly appointed Brokers and existing Brokers in
    specified Regional markets.
  • Deliver unique Sales messaging in efforts to optimize New Business
    opportunities for Brokers to increase written business and production with
    Golden Rule.
  • Conduct Outbound Sales Survey calls in efforts to generate New Broker
    leads.
  • Ability to develop a strong working relationship with the Broker to help
    generate New Business sales.
  • Quote Live cases for Broker to demonstrate Golden Rules products, benefits,
    and features, and competitive advantages.
  • Provide ongoing Sales Training and Support to Brokers, as needed, in first
    four months of becoming contracted with Golden Rule.
  • Assist with other Broker Service-related calls, as needed and
    required.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Must have Health and Life Insurance License or the ability to obtain licensure within 60 days of employment.
  • Ability to work Part Time from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, 4 days per week, with alternating days off.
  • Experience working in a Call Center environment, including dialing phone, multi-tasking between several software programs, working through system screens, and closing sales.
  • Customer Service experience in a Selling environment. 
  • Work experience within a competitive environment.
  • 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to type 35+ words per minute.
Preferred
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Insurance background. 
  • Cold Calling experience.
