Banquet Server and Catering Associate Job Description

Banquet Servers and Catering Associates responsibilities will include, set up, breakdown and service of buffet and full formal dining parties. It is formal and highly skilled work for those who have prior catering and restaurant work. Must have experience in establishments that require table service. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

•        Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.

•        Prepare carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages as stated in banquet event order.

•        Appropriately set up table settings

•        Banquet servers will set up and break down rooms for each event

•        Prepare tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert table/carts and cordial carts.

•        Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.

•        Ensure courses are cleared and tables are properly crumbed. Respond to and try to fulfill any special banquet event arrangements.

•        Serve food or beverages to patrons, and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required.

 

Ideal Banquet Server and Catering Candidates

•        Banquet server or relevant experience preferred

•        Highly committed to customer service

•        Professional and well groomed appearance

•        Excellent attendance

 

Pay Rate: $7.95 - $9.00 per hour

Shift/Hours: Various shifts, Monday - Saturday
